Two networks are better than one
Rolling out across the country, customers of Three and Vodafone can use both networks, so their phones will use whichever network is best at their location.
Building our best ever network
Investing in our network
As part of our promise to bring a new era of connectivity, we have a £11bn investment plan. And we’re working on improving our network for all customers across the UK.
Moving at pace
We’re moving fast, with customers already seeing the benefits of our upgraded network. But we’re not slowing down – there are more improvements on their way.
Faster 4G starts now
Vodafone and Three customers can now automatically use each other’s networks, getting the best coverage ever, at no extra cost. As our upgrades roll out across the country, millions of customers using 4G ready devices will experience:
Faster speeds
Enjoy smoother streaming, quicker downloads, and an unrivalled online experience thanks to a 4G speed boost of 20% or more.
Less buffering
We’ve strengthened our network in the busy outdoor places you need it most – like high streets and city centres. So, you can do what you need to do with less buffering slowing you down.
Better reliability
More capacity means a more reliable connection – even at peak times. Whether you’re working remotely or catching up with friends, our network keeps up with you.
Fewer 4G not spots
We’re bringing 4G coverage to 16,500km of the UK where it wasn’t available before on either Vodafone or Three. That’s an area roughly 10 times the size of London.
Terms
Throughout 2025 we’ll be upgrading our 4G network by enabling Three customers to access new Spectrum available from our merger with Vodafone. Particular quality improvements vary by location, but at least 7 million Three customers should experience an improvement.
Actual speeds may vary and depend on a number of factors including distance from mast, local geography, position of buildings and device used.
